Working Out, Work and Little Trees

Working Out, Work and Little Trees

Mostly just trying to keep up this week. Going to bed early and getting up early. Working out, going to work. If I have a few minutes to unwind I've been doing these little 3" by 5" watercolor trees. They are very low stress paintings. I just like watching them sort of happen. I could probably even loosen up a bit more with them. I enjoy watching how the pigment move in the water when I do the leaves. That's all for now. Gotta run....literally :)

New Artwork

Well, I finally got my stuff together and did some painting this last Saturday. It felt really good just to paint something. I picked a couple little birds I have had in mind to paint for quite some time now. They are both birds that where around the shop where I work. We are out in the country and there are a lot of birds you don't see much of in the city that just hang out in the area. The Redstart I was really excited about because It was the first time I had ever spotted one. The great thing is he actually lived by the end of the drive and he wasn't shy at all. So I really got to know him. The other bird I didn't actually see. My boss Dave saw him. We keep a couple bird books in the office because we have so many birds around. So check out my paintings. I hope you enjoy them. I don't remember exactly the verse, but somewhere in the bible I read once that the man who takes pleasure in the birds of the air is truly blessed. Thats not an exact quote:-)

Winter

Well, I should be doing some painting. I have a few that I would like to get started on. I spotted an "American Redstart" this summer. He lived by the end of the drive where I work. I would really like to do a painting of him. I have to wash the dust out of my paintbrushes and get some board or paper ready. It sounds simple enough. Sometimes its hard to get started after a long layoff though. I still have some etching work that I am working on. But all in all things are pretty slow right now here in Michigan. I have been working on my computer a lot and listing to internet radio. I guess I should just get started.
